DISTRICT A-5 EMERGING LION LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

The District A-5 Leadership Committee has received A-5 Cabinet approval to announce a new 'District Scholarship Award' to promote participation in the Lion's Leadership Institute training program for Emerging Lion Leaders.  The Cabinet has budgeted an amount of $600.00 to pay travel costs for qualified candidates who are accepted to attend the Institute.  Lion's International selects the attendees.

Many of you have already heard of the Lion's Leadership Institute for Emerging Lion Leaders and several Lions from our District have been selected to attend.  The Emerging Lion's Program focuses on developing the skills of Lion members at the Club level.  Candidates must be Lions in good standing with five or less years of membership who are serving or have served successfully on a Club committee and who have not yet attained the position of Club President.  Club Vice Presidents or those who aspire to this office are eligible to apply.  All candidates must be willing to commit to five consecutive days of training.  Lion's Clubs International will pay for the participants meals and lodging during the training days.                                             

Club Presidents, PLEASE encourage the eligible Lion members in your Club to apply for this wonderful opportunity of  leadership development and growth.  Applications and complete information can be obtained by contacting the Institute and Seminars department at Lion's International.
